THE PURPOSE PROJECT

Jeremiah 29:11(NIV) says:

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

We at Charity’s Place know that God has created every child with a PLAN and a PURPOSE for this PROJECT called life.

Purpose Project

Every child born has a Purpose and reason for being here. They have been blessed with the Unlimited potential to accomplish all their heart's desire. They have proven to be Resilient and determined to keep going. They know that only they have the Power to make the right choices in life. With positive people helping them to Overcome the challenges of life. They are powered to walk with dignity and with Self -respect. They are encouraged to explore and do research about pursuing Higher Education.

This program is designed with a youth empowerment mindset. We take an active approach giving youth the tools to create achievable goals. Empowerment theory suggests that engaging youth in pro-social, meaningful, and community-enhancing activities that the youth themselves define and control, helps youth gain vital skills, responsibilities, and confidence necessary to become productive and healthy adults.

The youth are exposed to community events and workshops that will empower them to see their full potential. They are encouraged to participate in a service project that focus on how they can serve others. They are exposed to various educational opportunities to enhance what they are learning in school. They are also exposed to institutions of higher learning. They are exposed to entrepreneurial processes as they are encouraged to be problem solvers.

D.R.E.A.M.S

psalms 82:3 (KJV) defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

D.R.E.A.M.S (Developing Real Education/Employment Aimed at Maintaining Stability) is designed to be an innovative intentional approach to preparing youth who are aging out of foster care to live the lives that they DREAM of. Our program will assist young adults {18-24} who are in extended foster care or previously aged out of foster care and enrolled in the PEES (Post Secondary Education Services and Support) program. Some homeless and other youth will be considered based on certain circumstances.

These services are provided in the home or community that focus on specific training and coaching on skills such as but not limited to;

• household organization
• personal finance
• credit repair
• time management

Housing and stabilization Specialists

Housing SERVICES

These services aid families in the location of new housing or stabilization of current housing. Our housing searches are done by experienced housing and stabilization specialists.  They are knowledgeable of relationship management, legal issues, risk management strategies, professional ethics and on-site maintenance management.
